Aviation & UAV GNSS Antennas

Lightweight multi-frequency antennas for manned aircraft, unmanned systems, and missile-borne platforms. Strip and circular form factors starting at 100 g, IP67 sealed, with custom colors and PA-integrated one-line variants available.

Application Overview

Why Airborne Antennas Demand a Different Design Mindset

Airborne platforms constrain antenna design in ways that commercial applications never do: weight budgets measured in grams, aerodynamic envelopes that rule out tall radomes, vibration profiles that stress mechanical joints, and EMC environments crowded with onboard radios. GNSource aviation antennas are engineered from the signal chain outward for these constraints — compact multi-arm helical elements, conformal or low-profile housings, and integrated filtering to reject in-band and adjacent-band interference.

Strip-shaped TDXL-GA04 and circular TDXL-GA05 anchor the aviation line at around 240 g, while lightweight LCA-series models drop below 120 g with the same multi-constellation coverage. For missile-borne and launch-survivable applications, the TDXL-DZ2001 delivers dual-band BDS B1 + GPS L1 reception in a 52 × 39 × 10.5 mm conformal package. Integrated Tx/Rx variants (GA04D, GA05D) combine navigation reception with BDS short-message transmission through a single one-line feed.

Every airborne model is IP67, operates from -40 °C to +85 °C, and can be delivered in army-green or customer-specified RAL colors. Electrical customization — frequency tuning, LNA gain selection, connector substitution — is standard; our engineering team is used to working from platform mechanical drawings rather than from a catalog.

UAV-Optimized Flagship

TDXL-LCA600 — Mini Circular Full-Band for Unmanned Platforms

The TDXL-LCA600 packs full-constellation, full-band GNSS reception into a 120-gram, 59 mm-diameter circular package designed specifically for unmanned aerial systems with strict mass and envelope budgets. Multi-feed microwave composite construction delivers right-handed circular polarization and a stable ±5 mm phase center across BDS, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo — including L5 and Galileo E5a/E5b bands. The high-temperature plastic radome protects internal circuitry through thermal insulation design, while an integrated waterproof IP67 seal handles flight-condition humidity and precipitation. Suitable for high-precision surveying drones, logistics UAVs, agricultural guidance platforms, and unmanned surface vessels.

FAQ

Aviation & UAV FAQs

Typical questions on lightweight airborne integration, missile-borne variants, and military-grade color options.

What's the lightest aviation antenna in the portfolio?

TDXL-LCA500 is our lightest strip-shaped aviation antenna at approximately 100 g. For ultra-compact UAV or missile-borne use, the TDXL-DZ2001 conformal design is only 52×39×10.5 mm. Helical OEM-embedded options such as the TDXL-813M go down to 7 g for integration into weight-sensitive UAV payloads and handheld avionics.

Do you have military / army-green variants?

Yes. TDXL-LCA500 and TDXL-LCA610 are available with army-green casings, suitable for field and tactical platforms. Most LCA-family antennas support custom colors on request (RAL-matched) for platform-specific integration.

Are any antennas rated for missile-launch environments?

The TDXL-DZ2001 is a missile-borne dual-band antenna (BDS B1 + GPS L1) with conformal mounting and lightweight 52×39×10.5 mm design rated for launch loads. For airborne platforms, all LCA-series antennas meet IP67 and operate from -40 °C to +85 °C, with vibration and shock profiles matching typical manned and unmanned aviation requirements.

Can you integrate transmit power into aviation antennas?

Yes. TDXL-GA04D and TDXL-GA05D are one-line aviation antennas with power amplifier integrated (~5 W transmit), combining GNSS navigation reception and BDS short-message transmission through a single coaxial feedline — reducing installation complexity on aircraft and UAVs.

What's the typical MOQ for UAV-class applications?

LCA-series and OEM-embedded models generally have lower MOQ thresholds than defense-grade hardware, with quantity-tiered pricing for production volumes. Contact our sales team with your target model and quantity for a concrete quotation.
